Description Screen - Tables - Table Toolbars

Below is an explanation of the buttons found on the Table Toolbars. The Table Toolbars can be shown or hidden by opening the context menu of the Description Screen toolbars:

Each image shown below, shows one or more toolbars. The buttons and controls are numbered from left to right.

Special formatting:

• Table Design toolbar

1. Show special formatting for the Header Row

2. Show special formatting for the Total Row

3. Show special formatting for Banded Rows

4. Show special formatting for the First Column

5. Show special formatting for the Last Column

6. Show special formatting for Banded Columns

1. Quick Styles - Quickly change the style of the table.
2. Line Style - Change the appearance.
3. Line Weight - Set the thickness of the lines in of the cell borders.
4. Pen Color - Change the color of the cell borders
5. Borders - Select which borders are used for each cell.
6. Shading - Select which color the selected cells will be shaded with.
7. Borders and Shading - Open the Borders and Shading properties window.

Table Layout Toolbar

1. Select - Allows you to select either Cell, Column, Row or Table.
2. Gridlines - Allows you to turn gridlines on or off (only visible if no borders have been set for the cell).
3. Properties - Opens the properties screen for the selected table.
4. Delete - Allows you to delete either Cells, Columns, Rows or the Table.
5. Insert Above - Inserts a row above the currently selected cell or row.
6. Insert Below - Inserts a row below the currently selected cell or row.
7. Insert Left - Inserts a column to the left of the currently selected column.
8. Insert Right - Inserts a column to the left of the currently selected column.
9. Insert Cells - Allows you to insert cells with the following options:
   1. Shift cells right
   2. Shift cells down
   3. Insert entire row
   4. Insert entire column

1. Merge Cells - With multiple cells selected, you can merge them into a single cell.
2. Split Cells - This comand allows you to split cells.
3. Split Table - Using this function will split the currently selected row from the rest of the table.
   

AutoFit -

1. Contents - will make the table shrink or expand to fit the contents.

2. Window - Makes the table fit the window.
3. Fixed Column Width - Gives the columns a fixed width.

1. Align Top Left - Aligns the text in the cell in the top left corner.
2. Align Center Left - Aligns the text in the cell to the center left.
3. Align Bottom Left - Aligns the text in the cell to the bottom left corner.
4. Align Top Center - Aligns the text in the cell to the top center.
5. Align Center - Aligns the text in the cell in the center of the cell.
6. Align Bottom Center - Aligns the text in the cell to the bottom center.
7. Align Top Right - Aligns the text in the cell to the top right.
8. Align Center Right - Aligns the text in the cell to the center right.
9. Align Bottom Right - Aligns the text in the cell to the bottom right.
10. Cell Margins - Opens the Table Properties which allows you to adjust the margins.
