Fields - Move Topics with Fields

In the Topics screen, topics can be moved in a number of ways (see Move Topic). If you move a topic with a field set, the field set will move also, regardless of how the field set is assigned. If the topic has inherited the field set from above, the inheritance status will change (see Inheritance Options).

Move a topic from a hierarchy with field set inheritance:

If you move a topic that has the status Inherited from above, the field sets are moved to the new location in the tree. The inheritance status changes to Topic.

Copy a topic:

Copying a topic works the same way as moving a topic. The topic will be copied including the fields and the contents of the fields.

Move a topic into a hierarchy with field set inheritance:

If you place a topic (or create a new topic) in a hierarchy with field set inheritance, it will automatically be assigned those field sets.
