How to change the type and icon of multiple topics at once

To guide users through the process of changing the type and/or icon for several topics simultaneously using the Change Topic Type feature.

Step-by-step instructions
Open the Change Topic Type screen
- Select any topic from the Topics screen.
- Go to the Edit tab or use the context menu.
- Click Change Topic Type in the Properties group.
- Alternatively, press F6 to open the Change Topic Type screen directly.
Select topics to modify
To select a list of topics:
- Click the first topic in the list.
- Hold SHIFT and click the last topic to select all topics in between.
To select individual topics:
- Click a topic.
- Hold CTRL and click each additional topic you want to include.
Change type or icon
- In the Change Topic Type screen, switch to either the Type or Icon tab.
- Choose the desired value from the dropdown menu.
- Click Apply to implement changes for all selected topics.
- If needed, click Undo to revert the changes.
- Click Close when you're done.
Important notes
- Not all topic types support icon changes. If the icon option is disabled, it may be due to the topic type.
- Changes apply to all selected topics, so double-check your selection before applying.
