How to copy relationships between topics

Target audience

Users who want to duplicate existing relationships between topics in Mavim without manually recreating them.

Purpose

This article explains how to copy a relationship from one topic and apply it to another, saving time when managing complex topic structures.


Steps to copy a relationship

  1. Select the source topic
    In the Topics screen, choose the topic that contains the relationship you want to copy.

  2. Choose the relationship to copy
    In the Relationships screen, select the specific relationship you want to duplicate.

  3. Copy the relationship
    Right-click the selected relationship and click Copy.

  4. Select the target topic
    In the Topics screen, choose the topic where you want to apply the copied relationship.

  5. Paste the relationship
    Go to the Relationships screen, right-click, and select Paste.


Important notes

  • The end point of a relationship is relative. Its meaning depends on the direction from which you view the relationship. Keep this in mind when copying.
  • Copying a relationship does not duplicate the topic itself, only the link between topics.
  • You can use CTRL + C and CTRL + V as shortcuts for copy and paste.
