How to create a Whereto (jump) relationship in Mavim
Target audience
Mavim users who model processes and need to indicate directional flow between steps or processes.
Core purpose/goal
To explain what a Whereto relationship is and guide users through creating a jump relationship between topics (e.g., process steps).
What is a Whereto relationship?
- A Whereto relationship is a jump relationship used to show the direction after a decision or to connect processes.
- It does not require organizing the Whereto category. Instead, jumps are created per topic.
- The Whereto category provides an overview of jump commands without showing destinations.
When to use Whereto relationships
- To indicate that one process step leads to another process or step.
- Example: After Step 4 of Process 1, Step 1 of Process 2 must start.

Select the source topic
- Navigate to the topic you want to link from (e.g., Step 4 of Process 1).

Important notes
- Jumps are directional; they show flow from one topic to another.
- Whereto relationships do not require additional organization in the category.
- You can create multiple jumps from a single topic if needed.
