How to create bulleted and numbered lists in the Description screen

Users formatting content in the Description screen who want to organize information using bullets, numbers, or multilevel lists.
Core purpose/goal:
To explain how to create and customize bulleted, numbered, and outline-numbered lists in the Description screen.
Steps to create a list
- Place your cursor in the Description screen.
- (Optional) Select the text you want to format as a list.
- Right-click and choose Numbering from the context menu, or go to the Format menu.
- If you want to use default bullets or numbering, use the toolbar buttons.
List formatting options
The Bullets and Numbering window includes three tabs:
Bulleted tab
- None: Removes bullets or numbering.
- Bulleted list: Adds bullets to selected text.
- Click Customize to:
- Choose a bullet character.
- Adjust font and character for bullets.
Numbered tab
- Adds a simple numbered list.
- Click Customize to:
- Set number format and style.
- Choose starting number.
- Adjust number position and text indentation.
Outline numbered tab
- Creates a multilevel list for hierarchical content.
- Click Customize to:
- Select and configure each level.
- Set number format, style, and starting number.
- Adjust font, alignment, and indentation.
- Choose what follows the number: tab, space, or nothing.
Restart or continue numbering
For Numbered and Outline Numbered lists, you can:
- Restart numbering: Begin a new list.
- Continue previous list: Resume numbering after inserting other content (e.g., text or images).
Important notes
- Toolbar buttons offer quick access to default list styles.
- Use Customize to fine-tune list appearance and structure.
- Outline Numbered lists are ideal for structured documents with multiple levels.
