Steps to format an image

  1. Click on the image in the Description screen.

  3. The Layout window opens with multiple tabs for formatting.

Text wrapping options

Use the Text Wrapping tab to control how text flows around the image. Choose from:

  • In line with text – default; image sits within the line of text.
  • Square – text wraps around the image in a square shape.
  • Tight – text wraps closely with smaller margins.
  • Through – combines square and tight wrapping.
  • Top and bottom – text appears only above and below the image.
  • Behind text – image appears behind the text (may not work in HTML output).
  • In front of text – image overlays the text.

Wrap text around:

  • Both sides
  • Left only
  • Right only
  • Largest only

You can also set the distance from text on all four sides.

Size and rotation options

Use the Size tab to:

  • Set Height and Width (in inches).
  • View the original size for reference.
  • Lock aspect ratio to maintain proportions when resizing.
  • Adjust Rotation to rotate the image to any angle.

Important notes

  • The Behind Text option may not display correctly when publishing to HTML; the image may appear beside the text instead.
  • Cropping is available through layout options, but may depend on the image type and insertion method.
