How to Move Topics Within the Topic Tree

You can always move topics within the topic tree to reorganize your content. When a topic is moved, its description, relationships, and subtopics are also transferred automatically.

When a topic is moved, its sort order number is adjusted to reflect its new position in the hierarchy.

Method 1: Move Topic Using the Ribbon

  1. Select the Navigation tab.
  2. In the Topics or Subtopics screen, select the topic you want to move.
  3. Use the buttons on the Navigation tab to reposition the topic within the topic tree.

Method 2: Move Topic Using Cut and Paste
