How to set row height and manage page breaks in tables
Target audience:
Users working with tables in the Description screen who want to control row height and how tables behave across pages.
Core purpose:
To explain how to adjust the height of table rows and manage page breaks when tables span multiple pages.
Set row height using Table Properties
- Click inside a row or select multiple rows you want to adjust.
- Right-click and choose Table Properties from the context menu, or use the Table menu.
- In the Table Properties window, go to the Row tab.
- Under Frame height, enter the desired row height.
Set row height manually with the mouse
- Hover over the bottom border of the row.
- When the cursor changes to a resize symbol, click and drag to adjust the row height.
Manage page breaks
- Row height settings affect how tables are displayed across pages.
- If a table is larger than a single page, row behavior depends on the page size settings (see Page Setup).
- Adjusting row height can help prevent awkward page breaks or improve readability in printed/exported formats.
Important notes
- Page break behavior is influenced by overall table size and page layout.
- Manual resizing is useful for quick adjustments but may not be precise.
- Use the Row tab for consistent formatting across multiple rows.
