Import - Flowchart - Assign Existing Activities

In the Topics screen, select the topic into which the Visio chart must be imported. Each shape in the Visio chart (activities / choices) that is part of the process is stored in Mavim as a topic directly under the selected topic.

Sometimes when importing, you may find that the selected topic already contains subtopics. As these exist in the topics screen, they must also exist in the chart.

There are two possible scenarios:

· The topic exists in the topic screen, but not in the drawing;

· The topic exists in the topic screen and also in the chart, but they are not linked to one another.

For both situations the following steps are required:

1. Re-draw the activities or choices in question in the chart.

2. Select this new shape in the chart (or select the existing shape).

3. From the right-click menu, select Attach to Topic in Mavim.

4. In the screen shown, select the required activity or choice from the process.

5. Choose the function Remove connection with topic in Mavim to disconnect shapes in the chart from topics in Mavim.
