The process of importing an IDEF0 chart consists of three steps:
1. Assign Relationships
2. Assign External Topics
3. Finalize Import
Assigning relationships:
1. Select the relationship.
1. Right-click and select Attach to Topic in Mavim.
2. In the screen shown, select the required product or document.
3. Repeat these steps for each relationship.
Assigning External Topics:
The second step for importing IDEF0 charts is assigning external topics. These are references to other processes that are included in Mavim.
1. Select the external references.
2. Right-click and select Attach to topic in Mavim.
3. Choose the required process in the screen that appears.
4. Repeat these steps for each external topic.
Note: If an external topic is assigned it will be shown as a process step.
Finalize Import:
When each relationship and external reference in the chart is assigned, the chart can be saved.
Click the 
button in the Visio toolbar to save.
