You can import a Visio chart as follows:

2. Select the Visio file, in the screen that appears, and click Open.

The Visio program is opened in a separate screen and the following screen is shown:

The following screen appears:

4. Select either Flow Chart, Hierarchical Chart, or IDEF0 Chart. Common relationship characteristics for a decision or "input and output" are "yes" and "no" when connecting a document and an activity. These relationship characteristics can also be imported by Mavim when importing a Flowchart.  Check the Import relationship characteristics option.

5. You can also select to save all aimplicit flow relationships using the checkbox.

6. In the lower section of the dialog you can specify which topics must be created as free shapes. If Label Free Shapes is enabled, Mavim will label all free shapes it finds "Free shape".

Note: 'External documents' and ‘external activities’ can be assigned specifically later. For this reason, these are not included in free shapes

7. Click OK to complete the import.
