Language Change in Mavim Manager Does Not Affect Field Content

If you're experiencing issues where the content of a field remains the same when switching languages in Mavim Manager, this is expected behavior for most field types.

Explanation:

  • Field content is not language-dependent.
    Changing the language in Mavim Manager only affects field names and field definitions, not the actual content stored in the fields.

Exceptions:

There are two exceptions where content may differ per language:

  1. Relation Fields

    • The name of the linked relation is copied and may vary depending on the language of the relation.

  2. Text Fields with “Multiple Languages” Enabled

    • When this setting is active, the content is stored per language.
    • Important: If you change an existing text field to support multiple languages, all previously entered values will be lost.
