Links with External Applications - Couple with SharePoint Document Library items

In order to create a connection between a Mavim topic and a SharePoint Document Library item, follow these steps:

1. In the SharePoint Connection Manager's left section (= 1 in example image) select the Mavim topic you want to couple with a SharePoint Document Library item.

2. In the SharePoint Connection Manager's top right section (= 2 in example image) check the SharePoint Document Library item you want to be coupled with the Mavim topic.
You can couple multiple items. An item can be a document as well as a folder.

3. Click Apply to confirm the coupling.
Repeat step 1 and 2 if you want to couple a next Mavim topic.

4. Click OK if all your couplings are created.

The SharePoint Connection Manager shows the following results:

· The central bottom section (= 3 in example image) shows all Document Library items coupled with the Mavim topic activated in section 1.
You can open a coupled item via the
Show option in its context menu.

· The right bottom section (= 4 in example image) shows the coupled item's fields.
The specific URL to the SharePoint Document Library item is filled in as field value.

Mavim shows the following results:

· Of each coupled SharePoint Document Library item a Mavim topic is created. You can find these in Objects > Connections > SharePoint Connections.
In the Fields screen of these topics the specific URL to the SharePoint Document Library item is filled in as field value.

· In the relationship screen of each Mavim topic coupled with a SharePoint Document Library item the relationship(s) to the SharePoint Document Library item(s) in the Objects are shown.

Note: If couplings are created with SharePoint 2013/2016 Library items, then use for Web publications a Web Theme which opens files in a new frame. If you not do so, in the website description frame an error message will appear as soon as you want to open a coupled SharePoint 2013/2016 Library item.
