When working with Decision shapes in a Cross Function Flowchart the following must be taken into account:

Vertical Chart Orientation:

If you are working with a vertically oriented chart, attaching shapes to the top section of the Decision shape will result in the arrow pointing from the added shape to the Decision.

Horizontal Chart Orientation:

If you are working with a horizontally oriented chart, attaching shapes to the left section of the Decision shape will result in the arrow pointing from the added shape to the Decision.

In both of the above situations the behavior of the arrows is expected. The integration between Mavim and Visio adds business logic to ensure that the Decision shape has "input". You can of course change the orientation of the arrows using the Reverse function from the context menu of the arrow.
