Overview - Editing a Network Relationship Chart
There are three ways in which you can create a relationship network chart:
Method 1
1. Select the topic in Mavim that you wish to add to the chart.
2. In Visio right-click and select Paste selected topic.
3. Right-click on the shape and select Show all relationships.
The follow screen is shown:
4. Here you can choose if you would like to include dispatch instructions. Click OK.
5. All relationships for the shape are shown. You can repeat these steps for the newly shown shapes.
Method 2
1. Drag a shape from the stencil into the Visio drawing.
2. A screen appears allowing you to select a topic from Mavim.
3. Select a topic and click OK.
4. Repeat these steps for each topic you want to include in the chart. (you can also continue with step 3 of Method 1)
5. Create relationships between the topics with the relationship shape in the Visio stencil.
Method 3
You can also use a keyboard shortcut to assist you in adding shapes to a chart:
1. With the chart open, select the topic in Mavim Manager you wish to link a shape to
2. Now with the Ctrl key held down, drag the shape from the stencil onto the drawing
The new shape will automatically be linked to the selected topic in Manager Manager.
Note: You can use any Visio stencil for other shapes, e.g. use network shapes to add to your Relationship Network Chart. Drag the required shapes to the page and indicate which topic it represents.
How to open Visio stencils is described in the documentation of this application.
