Overview - Generic Chart - Manually Connecting Shapes with Topics

If you have added a shape to the chart you can couple it with a topic in the Mavim database.

1. Select the shape in Visio.

2. Right-click and select Attach to topic in Mavim.

3. Select the corresponding topic in the Mavim topic tree.

You can also remove a connection with a topic in Mavim.

1. Select the shape in Visio.

2. Right-click and select Remove connection with topic in Mavim

An even easier way to link a topic to a shape is as follows:

1. With the chart open, select the topic in Mavim Manager you wish to link a shape to

2. Now with the Ctrl key held down, drag the shape from the stencil onto the drawing

The new shape will automatically be linked to the selected topic in Manager Manager.
