Overview - Stencils
Mavim offers a number of stencils to be used with Visio.
A stencil is a standard collection of shapes and relationships that you can use to create a chart.
Two stencils are offered for every chart type: a Classic and a Standard version. The Classic stencil is the black and white stencil that was offered with previous versions. The Standard stencils use color, where possible in harmony with the way Mavim depicts topics: e.g. the flowchart now has green start activity shapes, yellow activity shapes and red stop activity shapes.

The Generic Chart has no Mavim stencils, since any and all types of shape can be used to create this chart. For more information about this chart type, see: Generic Chart.
It is also possible to modify the stencils Mavim offers. For more information, see: New Visio Stencil.
