Relate

The power of Mavim lies in the creation and maintenance of relationships between topics. To structure this, Mavim uses standard Relationship Categories. These categories are used to contain topics that provide supporting information for other topics. See Relationship Categories.

Note: For example: A particular official has a role in a process, or a certain document is used in a process. A relationship is created between the process and the official, or between the process and the document. The information about the official and the document is recorded in relationship categories. (Who, and With What categories respectively.)

A relationship between topics can be made more specific by adding a Characteristic. See Characteristics.

Note: For example: If a relationship exists between a process and an official, we add the characteristic Responsible. The exact role of the official within the process is now clear.

An explanation of the basic procedures that can be carried out with relationship categories can be found in the following Help Topics: Create Relationship, Copy Relationship and Delete Relationship.

A relationship is a connection between two topics. You can change the start or end point of a relationship. See Edit Relationship.

Relationships are shown in the Relationships screen. See Relationships screen.

Finally, it is possible to include User Instructions and Dispatch Instructions in a relationship. This is information regarding the use or dispatch of e.g. documents and systems.
