User instructions or dispatch instructions can be added to a relationship between two topics, providing instructions for the dispatch or use of a topic:
- Select a relationship in the Relationships screen.
- Choose User Instructions or Dispatch Instructions from the context menu.
- A screen will appear in which you can enter the instruction:
User Instructions:
A user instruction is an instruction for the use of e.g. a form. This function is only available when a relationship has been created. This is screen in which the instructions can be created:
- By clicking Create, you can enter text into the window. When an instruction has been entered, Mavim displays a
in the relationship screen. - By clicking Delete, the instructions will be removed.
- By clicking Close, the window will be closed.
Dispatch Instructions:
A dispatch instruction is an instruction that gives information on what needs to be done with a form after the activity has been completed. Dispatch instructions are identified by a 
in the Relationships screen. This is window in which the dispatch instructions are created:
To create a dispatch instruction, follow these steps:
- Click New.
- Where applicable, change the Name of the dispatch instructions.
- At Type, indicate what kind of dispatch it is. You can choose from:
- Enter the instruction text in the lower part of the window.
- At Path, your choice will be displayed: the selected topic.
- None: Enter text for the dispatch instruction. You can enter this text in the lower part of the window.
- Send: Select where the topic will be sent.
- Save: Select where the topic will be saved.
- Input: Select the topic that will be used as input.
- Mechanism: select the supporting topic.
- Control: select the control topic.
With the Delete button, the selected dispatch instruction can be deleted.
Use the Close button to close the window.
Note: User and or Dispatch instructions are normally only added to relationships created by the user and not to relationships created by the system, e.g. revision information, matrices and hyperlinks.
Relationships that have been created via Fields of type Relationship can have instructions.
