Why the message "topics with multiple fields that have as option Use Owner for Mavim Portal" appears when creating a new version

Mavim users who encounter a message about duplicate “Owner for Mavim Portal” fields when creating a new version.

Why this message appears

This message means that one or more topics contain multiple fields configured with the option Usage > “Owner for Mavim Portal”.

Mavim only allows one field per topic to be designated as the “Owner for Mavim Portal.” When more than one field is set this way, the system displays this warning during version creation.

Example scenario

  • A topic has two field sets: Control and Approval form.

  • Both field sets include an Owner field.

  • Each Owner field is configured with Usage = Owner for Mavim Portal.

  • Both field sets are active and each contains one element.

When you create a new version in this setup, Mavim detects two “Owner for Mavim Portal” fields in the same topic and displays the warning message.

How to resolve the issue

To remove the message and continue creating your version:

  1. Identify affected topics

    • Review the topics linked to multiple field sets (for example, Control and Approval form).

    • There may be multiple topics with both field sets linked. You can check whether multiple Owner fields have been set via Modeling - Overview - Edit fields.

    • Check which fields are marked as Owner for Mavim Portal.

  1. Remove the duplicate Owner configuration

    • Either:

      • Remove the Owner field from one of the field sets, or

      • Unlink one of the field sets from the topic if it is not needed.
