How to: create topics

How To

There are several ways that a Topic can be created. This article will show you several methods.

Using The Ribbon:

Follow these steps:

1. Make sure you have a topic selected in the yellow cabinet. Generally you will want to have a topic selected that is in the vicinity of where you want the new topic to be in the tree.
2. Now select the Modelling tab.
3. Select Structure > New Topic > Lower; Above or Under (These options are relative to the Topic you currently have selected).
4. Give the new Topic a name and press Enter.

Using Keyboard Shortcuts:

Follow these steps:

1. Make sure you have a topic selected in the yellow cabinet. Generally you will want to have a topic selected that is in the vicinity of where you want the new topic to be in the tree.
2. Use the key combinations Ctrl + L (lower); Ctrl + B (Above) or Ctrl + U (Under) to create a new Topic in the tree.
3. Give the new Topic a name and press Enter.

Once the new Topic has been created; it can be moved into the desired location using the Navigation Tab if needed.
