How To

Mavim contains a feature that allows you to easily combine characteristics that have the same name but varying capitalization.

NOTE: To do this you will need to make sure that the Objects branch has been enabled.

  1. Expand the Mavim database followed by the Objects branch.
  2. Now expand Characteristics and then expand the appropriate Relationship Category.
  3. Right click on one of the characteristics that has duplicates.
  4. From the context menu select Combine Characteristics.

All characteristics that have the same name are combined to one. If you have other characteristics that have the same meaning but a different name; simple rename them so that they are also merged.

NOTE: It is also important to note that if you have multiple languages in your database; the characteristics in all languages must be the same. For instance you might have Dutch and English and in the Dutch language you have a condition "Ja" and "ja". In English you would need to have "Yes" and "yes" for instance for this to work. If the characteristics are not the same in any of the active languages; combining the characteristics will not work.
