How To
Mavim offers the ability to create templates on which you can base new Topics. This allows you to keep consistency with your Topics. Follow these steps to create a new template:
NOTE: The Objects branch must be visible! Switch to the Layout tab and enable Objects in the Topic Screen section.
- Expand the tree in your Mavim database to expose the Objects branch and expand it.
- Open the context menu on Templates and select New Topic > Lower.
- Give the Topic a name and press Enter.
- Now open the context menu on the new Topic and select Properties.
- Switch to the Template Combination tab.
- On this screen you will need to define which combination of Topic Type and Icon a Topic must have in order to apply the template.
- Adjust how you want the template to be applied using the check boxes.
- Click OK to apply the changes to the Template.
- The new template can now be treated as a normal Topic. Information can be placed in the description and relationships can be created.
