How To
In Mavim there are multiple ways to create relationships between your Topics. Using a Matrix gives a great visual representation of who is responsible for what and it also allows you to add relationships as needed. To create a Matrix; simply follow these steps:
NOTE: The Matrix function contains a lot of features allowing you to get the result you want but for this example we will be working with a very basic Matrix.
- Select the parent Topic for which you want to create the new Matrix. Note that any topics under the parent topic will automatically be included in the Matrix.
- Open the context menu on the topic and select New Matrix.
- The Matrix Definition screen appears with the Range tab selected.
- Using the various Relationship Type buttons; select the type of relationship you want to add to the Matrix range. Note that you can multi-select Topics in these screens.
- Once all desired relationships have been added to the Matrix range; click OK to generate the Matrix.
- Each cell can be clicked to add or change a relationship between the corresponding Topics.
At any time; the Matrix definition can be changed and when changes are made; the new results will be shown. This allows you to easily re-define your matrix definition to achieve the results you need.
