Manager - copy production database to training environment

Question: Can I place a copy of our production database in the training environment?

Answer:
If you would like to make a copy of a database; this will always have to be done via the service desk because this requires the SQL Admin password and we cannot provide this.

By default; you have access to 3 databases; which means that if you already have 3 databases at your disposal; the production database should be placed over 1 of these databases; or you can request an additional database via your Mavim account manager (additional costs apply).

When a database is copied by default using the 'Copy and Convert the database' option


then it would no longer be possible to import - export versions between these 2 databases because the databases would then have the same database code.

Therefore the option 'Create database from template' will be used;


so that the database gets a different code than the original and importing - exporting does not cause any problems

In the MCC (https://connectcenter.mavimcloud.com)  you can then link the correct persons to the database again and possibly change the name of the database via the Mavim Manager - Databases tab; by clicking on the Edit button behind the database
