Manager - re-assign licenses

Manager - re-assign licenses Question : I cannot delete a user in -- KA-01632

Question: I cannot delete a user in the MCC; there is an i behind the name; another user has an edit button ; what is the reason for that?

Answer:
The license agreement with Mavim is based on a named-user licensing model; which is why you cannot simply switch licenses.

When purchasing Mavim; you can certainly choose to include reassignment of licenses as a clause in your contract; so that you can freely reassign user licenses for the Mavim Manager to other users in your organization.
So if you would like to make your licenses fully Re-Assignable; please contact your account manager to request the correct quote and have this changed.
(It is not possible to limit some Mavim Managers and completely reassign others).

The limitations of repeatedly reassigning a license (you will then see the user with an i after his name) are the following:
Project Launch Period: When an order is placed for a certain number of licenses each; you can reassign the Mavim Managers as desired to set up the project team for the first two months. We call this the grace period
Once the two-month period is over; certain conditions apply:

1. Users created in the first two months cannot be reassigned for the next 12 months after the two-month period.
2. New users created after the two-month period cannot be changed for the next 12 months from the day they were created. For a period of 15 minutes after the users have been completed; the users can be edited/modified for any errors.
3. If the licenses are exchanged between the different license types after the two-month period; the 12-month postponement restriction also applies. . For a period of 15 minutes after users' licenses have been redeemed; users can edit/adjust any errors.

If you now want to convert a license without a contractual adjustment; you could send an email to your Mavim Account Manager with the request which user you would like to adjust and for what reason. If the Account Manager gives permission for this; the servicedesk can change the license once so that you can delete this user in the MCC and then reassign the license to another user.
