Can I open the Mavim website directly as an App so that the home page uses the full screen?
Answer:
This can be done in the following way for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome
Microsoft Edge:
In Microsoft Edge; open the Mavim Portal
Click on the button with the 3 dots and go to Apps - Install this site as an app
Give the App a name (e.g. Mavim Portal) and click on Install:
The site will now open as an App.
At the bottom of your taskbar you will see the Mavim Portal icon; right click on it and choose 'Pin to taskbar':
Now by clicking on this Icon you can open the site directly as an App (the set home page will just open).
Google Chrome:
In Microsoft Chrome; open the Mavim Portal.
Click on the button with the 3 dots and go to More tools - Create shortcut
Give the App a name (e.g. Mavim Portal); place a check mark in front of 'Open as window' and click on Create
The site will now be opened as an App.
At the bottom of your taskbar you will see the Mavim Portal icon; right click on it and choose 'Pin to taskbar':
