Manager - optimize database

Manager - optimize database Question: When creating a version; an error message -- KA-01529

Answer:
Mavim has a self-correcting functionality; which you should preferably perform regularly (eg every month or after every Update of Mavim).
All data that you delete in the database from the yellow drawer ends up in the recycle bin and as long as you do not empty it; it will remain there.
As a first step; it is therefore advisable to empty the recycle bin. You can do this by right-clicking on the recycle bin in the database and choosing 'Empty recycle bin'

After this; all users must close the relevant database; you can check which users are still logged in by right-clicking on the black drum 'Mavim database' and selecting Properties:

In the next window that opens; click on the Connections tab; where you can see which users still have the database open:

When everyone is logged out of the database; restart Mavim and click the Database Manager button.

Select the database in which the problem occurs and choose the menu option 'Check (and repair) the database'
(Note! Depending on the size of the database; the check can take a while; so preferably perform this action at a quiet time).

The following screen appears:

Click on Yes and the database will be checked; preferably perform this action at least 3x in a row.
(This is because there may be dependencies on each other that require multiple fixes).

Now open the database and recreate the version once; then publish this version to the Portal.
