Manager - relations disappear in a version Question: Not all relationships are visible on the -- KA-01410
Question:
Not all relationships are visible on the Portal; what could be the reason for this?
Answer:
In the database all links work without restrictions but if you create a version then the topics selected in the version definition are fully included and all relations on those topics that are not included in the definition only 1 level deep. So you can already check in the version whether the relation in question has been included.
Example:
In the process 'After sales meeting’ (under the main process 'Move into house’); a hyperlink has been created in the description window to the process 'Complaints' (under the main process 'Improve').
On the process ‘Complaints’ a field relation to ‘Joe Fonda’ has been set:
If a version of the Process 'Move into house’ is created (which includes the process 'After sales meeting’) and in that version you select the process 'After sales meeting’ and click on the link to 'Complaints’; then you do not see the Field relation to 'Joe Fonda' anymore.
That field relation is not included because the link to 'Complaints’ is a link on the 1st level and the field relationship to 'Joe Fonda' is a link on the 2nd level.
In the screenshot above; you can see that the process 'Complaints' will be listed under the heading 'External references'; under 'External references' you find all the relations that are not included in the version definition (All links at the 1st level).
If the process 'Complaints' is explicitly included in the version definition; then the field relation to 'Joe Fonda' is present:
Because Complaints is now explicitly included in the version; the field relation to 'Joe Fonda' becomes a link at the 1st level and this link is now also visible under 'External references':
The field relation is then available on the Portal; the only disadvantage is that in this way the 'Complaints' process is visible in the tree structure:
