Manager-portal - restore backup

Question: Which back-up facilities are available in the Online environment?

Answer:
For all databases in the Mavim Online environment (Portal or manager databases) you can go back up to 1 month (daily every hour).
The retention of files on the H:\ and S:\ drive in the Online environment is: 1 month (4 times daily); 8 weeks and 12 months.

To restore databases or files; an email can be sent to the Service Desk (servicedesk@mavim.com) indicating which database/file it concerns; and from what date and time it should be restored.
When restoring a database backup; all users must leave the database in question; you can check whether any users are still logged in by clicking on the 'Database Manager' button



then request the properties of the database in question; by right-clicking on the database line and choosing 'Properties':


In the window that appears; you will see the logged in users under the tab 'Connections' (if it is empty; no users are logged in):


As soon as the restore is ready; an email is sent asking to check whether the desired data is visible again; when that has been approved; users can log in again.
