Portal - expired tasks Question : A task has the status EXPIRED; -- KA-01648

Question: A task has the status EXPIRED; which means that the process cannot continue.
What does this mean; and how can the user continue working?

Answer:
When you see a "EXPIRED" message in a task :


Then this task is no longer valid because a new version has been published or because the due date of a task has been reached.
This can be disabled by logging in to the portal as an Administrator and remove; on the General tab behind 'Portal customizations; ‘Disable persist on expired tasks'



When this is done; the task can be completed.
If you leave the option on; users still see the tasks in the dashboard; they can open the task; but they can no longer apply changes; the only option they will have is to remove the task.
