Question: How can I publish bilingually to the Portal?

Answer:
First of all; you need to develop the database in different languages; Mavim cannot translate for you; but suppose you have developed the data in Dutch and you would like to translate it into English; you can do the following:
Make an export of the Dutch data via Mavim for authors; by selecting the yellow cabinet (all child subjects are automatically included) and selecting the menu option Modelling – Export – Mavim for Authors document:

Select the location where you would like to save the file (H:\ S:\ or TempDisk); when you choose TempDisk it will be placed directly in your local download folder:

Click Save and the Mavim for Authors document (.mxd) will be created.

A document has now been generated that can be opened in Word; in which you can translate the texts outside of Mavim
It is important to only change the black text in the document; the blue text should absolutely not be changed; this allows Mavim to recognize subjects; and restore the information to the right place in the database.

When the translation has been performed; the document can be imported back into Mavim; by first uploading the modified (.mxd) file to the Online Environment; then placing the Mavim Manager in the desired data language via Tools – Data

Select the menu option Modeling – Import – Mavim for Author's Document

A file explorer will open.

Navigate to the .mxd file and click Open.

The file will now be imported into the database; in the Data Language that your database is currently in.

When you create a version; this version is created in both English and Dutch.
Optionally; you can set the name of the version per language by going to Modelling – Version management – Create Version

From there; select the version in question and choose Edit:

Here you can set a desired name for the version per Language:

When the version is created; you need to publish both the English and the Dutch version separately to the Portal; please note that you can only set 1 language on the Portal on the General tab; (that setting applies to all websites):

This setting determines in which language all headers appear; see also the example below:
