Question:
When I want to start searching in the portal; the default page for Search area is: Topic branch.
How can I set the search area to a different default?
Answer: You can only set 'search in' as default on the Portal by going as an Admin to the Portal and set on the General tab
the desired option behind ‘Search default’.
When you restart the Portal; 'all versions' appears by default behind the Search area
The context search function has been introduced since the May 2023 product update. When you have this enabled; you will see 2 search buttons on the Portal:
This can lead to confusion as the left button is the default search button and the right button is the 'context search button'; when you click the 'context search button' the search area will be set to the current topic branch
You can disable the 'context search button' by adding on the General tab.
