Portal - use of tasks Question: I have some questions about Tasks? Answer: -- KA-01569
Question:
I have some questions about Tasks?
Answer:
I have some questions about Tasks?
Answer:
- For some users Are tasks not coming in from a flow?
Tasks assigned from a Flow can only be handled by users who have at least the role "Contributor"; so this means that subscribers cannot receive a task from a Flow.
As a test; you can always try to manually create a task on a topic. If that works well; then this task can also be submitted via a flow.
- I can't assign a task to certain users?
When you want to assign a task to someone; 'Assigned to' in the 'Create tasks' dialog only shows users who are authorized to comment on the selected version.
For example; if you work with groups and a user is not in the group that is allowed to see the website or the website is still on the approval status; a user who is not in the relevant group or who does not have the correct role will not appear at 'Assigned to'.
- I can no longer find certain tasks and notes?
Tasks and notes disappear when deleting the version on which they were created (subscriptions will remain)
You should therefore not delete the version on which a task or note was created from the Portal if you still need the task or note;
the status of the version does not matter (Offline; hidden etc.) as long as the version is not deleted.
- User gets error403 when he wants to open a task from his input page?
When a task is created on a topic in a version then that task is always linked to that specific topic.
If the version has meanwhile been placed offline because a new version has been published
and you click in your Input screen under 'Topic' on the link to the process then the above error will appear
(because here you are linked to the older version which is offline)
By clicking on the icon under 'Latest' the relevant process will be opened in the latest version.
