Analyze - Runs and Cycles
A Cycle is a path that runs from the start point of a process to the end point. If a choice shape is encountered during the cycle, a direction will be taken according to set probability. The aforementioned probability can be configured using the available percentages for the given decision shape
(see Weight and Percentage).
The result of the simulation depends on the probabilities of a certain path. If the simulation results in the same path being taken each time then, statistically, the results are not reliable. By increasing the number of cycles for each run, the results will be more accurate and reliable.
A Run is a collection of cycles and thereby mirrors a process. By increasing the number of cycles for each run and using multiple runs, it is possible to analyse variations in the process (differences in the cycles) and variations in the process itself (differences between the runs).
