Can I hide the "Other relations" column in a matrix?
This article explains the purpose of the Other relations column in a matrix, its behavior, and how to hide it when not needed.
Why the "Other relations" column exists
-
A matrix only shows relationships that are part of its defined scope.
-
Sometimes, additional relationships exist that are not part of the definition.
-
These extra relationships appear in the Other relations column so they are not lost from view.
Characteristics of the "Other relations" column
-
You can delete relationships listed in this column directly from the matrix.
-
You cannot create new relationships here.
-
The column is never included in publications.
-
If you apply a filter in the matrix menu (Filter > Filled columns or Filter > Filled columns and rows), the Other relations column will not be displayed, unless relationships are present.
Can it be hidden?
-
The column cannot be disabled entirely.
-
However, using the Filter options mentioned above is the best way to hide it when you do not need to see those relationships.
