Can I start the Mavim Manager and iMprove from the Portal?
You can launch both Mavim Manager and Mavim iMprove directly from the Mavim Portal. The Portal includes quick-access buttons for each application, but they may need to be made visible and correctly configured first.
Accessing the buttons
-
iMprove button:
Located on the right side of the description window by default. -
Manager button:
Appears as the temple icon next to the Dashboard button.
If these buttons are not visible, an Administrator can adjust their visibility:
-
Go to the General tab in the Mavim Portal.
-
Remove Mavim Manager and Mavim iMprove from the list of hidden buttons.
Setting up the iMprove button
To make the iMprove button functional, you need to link it to the correct environment URL.
-
Open Mavim iMprove directly.
-
Copy the URL up to (but not including)
/nav
. -
In the Portal, paste this link on the General tab behind Address to Mavim iMprove:
Once this address is set, clicking the iMprove button in the Portal will open your iMprove environment.
Setting up the Manager button
To launch Mavim Manager from the Portal, a valid Manager URL must be configured.
-
This setting is managed in the App settings of the Portal.
-
Users cannot set this URL themselves; contact the Mavim Service Desk (servicedesk@mavim.com) to have it configured on your portal.
After setup, the Manager button will open the Mavim Manager directly from the Portal.
Important notes
- If the buttons do not appear on the portal, then remove them from the tab General behind Hidden buttons
- Versions from multiple databases can be published to the same Mavim Portal. However, the Portal can only store one iMprove URL, so when you set DatabaseA behind Address to Mavim iMprove and you click on the iMprove button when a version from DatabaseB is selected, users will see a “Resource not found” error when trying to open iMprove.
This can only be solved by changing the link behind 'Address to Mavim iMprove' to the DatabaseB.
