Feedback visibility per user role
In Mavim, the way feedback is displayed depends on the user role. Some users have access to an overview of all submitted feedback, while others only see feedback on specific elements they can access. This article explains what each role can and cannot see.
Administrator and moderator
- Both roles see a user icon in the toolbar
- They have access to all feedback submitted on the portal, regardless of website status or group rights.
- This means feedback is visible even if they are not in the group or if the version is offline.
- If a version is being removed from the portal (process ongoing), the feedback is still displayed with a status indicator
- Once a version is fully deleted, its feedback disappears along with the entry.
Approver
- Approvers do not see a user icon in the toolbar.
- They only see the user icon within versions they have access to, on elements where feedback has been submitted.
- Restrictions
- Versions with status offline or hidden are not visible.
- If they do not have group rights for a version, the version is not visible at all.
- If feedback was added in an earlier version, a message appears, even if that version is offline.
Contributor and subscriber
- Contributors and subscribers do not see a user icon in the toolbar.
- They only see the user icon within versions they have access to, on elements where feedback has been submitted.
- Restrictions:
- Versions with status offline, approval, or hidden are not visible.
- If they do not have group rights for a version, the version is not visible at all.
- If feedback was given in an earlier version, a message is shown, even if that version is offline.
Feedback dashboard
For all roles, the dashboard button shows an overview of all feedback the user has personally submitted.
-
This includes feedback on versions that are currently offline.
