Restricting and Managing User Access to the Mavim Portal via Azure AD
To manage access for specific users or groups on the Mavim Portal, follow these steps:
Step 1: Retrieve Enterprise Registration Details
- Open the Mavim Connect Center.
- Navigate to Mavim Portal → Portal Info.
Here you will find:
- (1) The URL of the portal
- (2) The type of federation (default: Azure AD)
- (3) The Enterprise Registration ID in Azure AD
- (4) The Azure tenant ID
- (5) The Azure tenant name
Step 2: Configure Access in Azure
- Open the Azure Portal.
- Go to Microsoft Entra ID → Enterprise Applications.
- Search for the Enterprise Application using the Enterprise Registration ID (3) from step 1.
- Open the application and click Properties.
- Locate the setting Assignment required? and switch it to Yes.
This ensures that only assigned users/groups can access the Mavim Portal.
Step 3: Assign Users or Groups
- In the same Enterprise Application, go to Users and groups.
- Add the users and/or groups that should have access to the portal.
Note: Only users/groups added here will be able to log in.
