How change the Dynamics server URL

Users who need to couple Mavim topics with Dynamics screens.

This article explains how to enter the Dynamics server URL in the Dynamics Connection manager so that topic-to-screen couplings can be created.

Key information and steps to include

A Dynamics server URL must be added before Mavim topics can be coupled to Dynamics screens.

Open the Dynamics Connection manager

You can open the Dynamics Connection manager using any of the following paths:

In the ribbon, select the Tools tab, go to the Web section, and choose External connections website > Dynamics…
In the ribbon, select the Edit tab, go to Couple topic with, and choose Dynamics…
Right click a Mavim topic, select Couple topic with, then choose Dynamics…

Enter the Dynamics URL

Once the Connection manager is open:

Click Edit…
A dialog appears
- Update the Name
- Update the Form name
- Select the Dynamics 365 Server from the dropdown list
Click OK

The entered URL appears at the bottom of the imported Dynamics screens section in the Connection manager.
When you select a Dynamics screen, you can verify the address by selecting Check address.

If you click the Connection button, the left and right sections switch location and functionality. For details, see Connection manager: Dynamics.

Important notes

Only users with the required editing rights can modify the server URL.
Updating the URL affects all Dynamics screen connections in the environment.
