How to add a relationship to an existing function flowchart definition and rename it

You may need to update a function flowchart definition by giving it a new name or linking it to an additional relationship. Both can be done directly in the database.

Step 1: Locate the function flowchart definition

  1. In the database, go to Objects.

    • If you don’t see Objects under the yellow file cabinet, go to the Layout menu and check the box for Objects.

  2. Navigate to Objects → Function flowchart definitions.

Step 2: Rename the definition

  1. Right-click the definition you want to rename.

  2. Select Rename.

  3. Enter the new name for the definition.

Step 3: Add a relationship to the definition

  1. Select Lane definition.

  2. In the Relationships window, add a new relationship.

Step 4: Verify the update

Restart the function flowchart. The newly added relationship will now be visible in the schema.
