How to configure file locations in Mavim
Target audience:
Administrators and advanced users who want to customize or restore file location settings in Mavim.
Purpose:
This article explains how to set, modify, clear, and restore file locations for various Mavim components, including databases, backups, and templates.
Overview of file locations
You can configure the following file locations in the File Locations tab:

Database Manager Information
Location of theMVMDB.INIfile that contains the databases that can be opened.

Published Documents
Location of generated Word documents and PDF files.

Steps to modify or clear a file location
- Go to the File Locations tab.
- Click the row of the file location you want to change.
- To clear the location, click Clear.
- To modify the location, click Modify and select a new directory in the selection screen.
Restore default settings
- To restore all file locations to the default settings provided by Mavim, click Restore Defaults.
Folder status
- This section shows whether the specified file location exists and if you have write permissions for that folder.
Important notes
- Requires administrator privileges to make changes.
- Ensure you have access rights to the selected folders.
- Incorrect file paths may cause errors when importing, exporting, or publishing documents.
