How to couple a Mavim topic with an Infor M3 screen
Target audience:
Users who want to link Mavim topics to Infor M3 screens for process documentation and integration.
Purpose:
This article explains how to create a connection between a Mavim topic and one or more Infor M3 screens using the M3 Connection Manager.
Prerequisites:
- Access to the M3 Connection Manager in Mavim.
- M3 screens must be available in the right-hand section. If not, you need to import an Infor M3 Excel sheet first. See: Import M3 Excel sheet.
Steps to couple a Mavim topic with an M3 screen:
1. Open the M3 Connection Manager
Choose one of these options:
- In the ribbon, select Tools tab > Web section > External connections website > M3...
- In the ribbon, select Edit tab > Couple Topic with > M3...
- Right-click a Mavim topic and select Couple Topic with > M3...
2. Select the Mavim topic
- In the left-hand section, choose the topic you want to couple.
3. Enable the M3 screen(s)
- In the right-hand section, check the box for the M3 screen(s) you want to couple with the topic.
- You can couple multiple screens to a single topic.
Note: If the right-hand section is empty, import an Infor M3 Excel sheet first.
4. Confirm the coupling
- Click Apply to save the connection.
- Use Check address... to verify that the coupling works correctly.
- Repeat steps 2–4 for additional topics.
5. Finish
- Click OK when all couplings are complete.
6. Disconnect a coupling
- Deselect the checkbox for the M3 screen.
- Confirm with Apply or OK.

Clicking the Connection button swaps the left and right sections and their functionality. For details, see Connection Manager: M3.
