How to delete a field or field set

Core purpose
This article explains how to delete a field or field set from the database and what happens when you do so.
Steps to delete a field or field set
- Go to the Administration tab.
- In the Administrative Tools group, select Field Administration.
- In the Field Administration screen:
- Locate the field or field set you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Important notes
- Deleting a field or field set is permanent.
- Wherever these fields or field sets are in use, all entered values will be lost from the database.
- Review dependencies before deleting to avoid losing critical data.
