How to Export Data from the Mavim Database
Mavim Manager offers several options to export data from the database, depending on your intended use.
1. XML Export
- Navigate to Modeling → Export → Mavim XML document.
- This export is suitable for technical use or integration with other tools.
- Note: You may need to modify the XML to match the requirements of your target environment.
- For technical details, refer to the documentation starting from page 50 under “15 XML”.
2. Word Publication
- Go to Modeling → Publication → Word document.
- This export is ideal for documentation or reference purposes.
- You can also use this method to export Visio charts.
Exporting Charts via Word:
- In the Word publication screen, click Edit under Word theme.
- Go to the Print tab.
- Check Insert charts as objects.
- After generating the Word document:
- Right-click a chart → Object → Open.
- The chart opens in Visio, where you can save it as a
.vsdx
file.
- Right-click a chart → Object → Open.
3. Exporting a Single Chart
- Open the chart in Mavim Manager.
- Right-click on the drawing sheet → Export.
- Save the chart as
.vsd
or.vsdx
on TempDisk (downloads directly to your local folder).
If TempDisk gives an error:
- Save the file to the H:\ or S:\ drive in the Cloud.
- Then download it manually to your local environment.
