How to import an Infor M3 Excel sheet into Mavim’s M3 Connection Manager
Target audience:
Mavim users who need to couple topics with Infor M3 screens using the M3 Connection Manager.
Purpose:
This article explains how to import an Excel sheet containing Infor M3 screen names and codes into the M3 Connection Manager, enabling topic coupling in Mavim.
Prerequisites:
- The Excel sheet must be created by an Infor M3 consultant.
- The sheet should contain valid Infor M3 screen names and codes.
- You must have access to the M3 Connection Manager in Mavim.
Steps to import the Excel sheet:
1. Open the M3 Connection Manager
You can access the M3 Connection Manager in three ways:
- In the ribbon, select Tools tab > Web section > External connections website > M3...
- In the ribbon, select Edit tab > Couple Topic with > M3...
- Right-click a Mavim topic, open the context menu, and select Couple Topic with > M3...
2. Click Import...
This opens the import dialog.
3. Select the Excel sheet
- Navigate to the location of the Excel file.
- Select the file and click Open.
4. Confirm the import
- A confirmation screen will appear.
- Click OK to proceed.
5. Verify imported data
- The imported screen names and codes will appear in the right-hand section of the Connection Manager.
- Tip: If you click the Connection button, the right and left sections will switch location and functionality. For details, see Connection Manager: M3.
Important notes:
- Ensure the Excel sheet is formatted correctly before importing.
- Incorrect or missing codes may prevent successful coupling.
