How to Prevent the Mavim Portal from Being Deactivated in the Browser

Modern browsers like Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome use performance features that may deactivate inactive tabs to save system resources. This can cause the Mavim Portal to stop functioning properly in the background. This article explains how to prevent the Mavim Portal from being put to sleep or discarded in both browsers.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → System and Performance.
  3. Under Sleeping Tabs, adjust the time for “Put inactive tabs to sleep after...” or disable it.
  4. Scroll down to Never put these sites to sleep.
  5. Click Add and enter the domain (e.g., mavimcloud.com).

 

 Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Settings → Performance.


  3. Under Always keep these sites active, click Add.

You can:

  • Add current sites from open tabs.
  • Add manually using formats like:
    • mavimcloud.com (entire domain)
    • .mavimcloud.com (specific domain only)
    • www.mavimcloud.com/portal (specific subdirectory)
