How to remove a Mavim version from SharePoint taxonomy
When using the Mavim Office365 integration, versions published from the Mavim Portal appear in SharePoint as taxonomy labels. These labels allow documents to be tagged based on the Mavim tree structure. If you remove a version from the Mavim Portal, its taxonomy tree is not automatically deleted from SharePoint. You must remove it manually.
Prerequisites
-
You must have Owner rights on the SharePoint site where the documents are linked to Mavim.
Steps to remove a Mavim version from SharePoint taxonomy
-
Go to the SharePoint site where Mavim-linked documents are stored.
-
Navigate to:
Configuration > Site information > View all site settings. -
Under Site administration, click Term storage management.
-
Expand the path:
Site level term groups > Site collection… > Mavim Topic.
Here you will see all Mavim versions published to SharePoint. -
Find the version you want to remove.
-
Click the three dots (…) next to the version and select Remove term.
-
This will delete the selected version and all its underlying terms.
-
Important notes
-
Only remove versions that are no longer in use in the Mavim Portal.
-
Removing a term in SharePoint will also remove its entire underlying structure.
