How to remove blue (field) relationships from the relationship window

In the Mavim relationship window, you may notice relationships highlighted in blue. These are field relationships. They cannot be removed using the right-click menu or the delete key. Instead, they must be removed from the assigned field on the process step itself.

Steps to remove a blue relationship

  1. Make sure the fields window is visible
    • Go to the Layout tab.
    • Check Fields window so it becomes visible.
  2. Go to the subject where the relationship is located
    • The blue relationships are the field relations
    • Open the fields window for that subject or process step.

  3. Find the assigned field
    • In the fields window, you will see which fields are filled in.
    • Example: on the process step Sales, within the field set Process data, the field Owner contains the value Sales Manager.
  4. Remove the relationship
    • Right-click the field (for example Owner).
  5. Select Back to default.
  6. Check the result
    • The field is no longer linked to the value.
    • The blue relationship disappears from the relationship window automatically.

Important to know

  • Blue relationships are always field relationships and can only be removed through the fields window.

  • Using the delete key or right-clicking in the relationship window will not work.
